Europe’s Happiest Capital is chock-full of venues that aim to please. And we are happy to announce the winners – yes, winners! (plural) – of the 2016 Vilnius Hospitality Awards.

Between May 1 and September 30, we were overwhelmed with thousands of votes from our visitors, who nominated the most hospitable people and places in Vilnius – their votes were cast for everything from friendliest tour guides and boutique hotels to coziest coffee shops and most enjoyable galleries.

The votes have been counted and we are happy to announce that the 2016 Vilnius Hospitality Awards go to…

Most Hospitable Small Hotel: Centro Kubas – Angel
Most Hospitable Mid-Sized Hotel: Shakespeare Boutique Hotel
Most Hospitable Large Hotel: Radisson Blu Lietuva
    Most Hospitable Restaurant: Neringa
    Most Hospitable Music Venue: Artistai
    Most Hospitable Bar: Pianoman

Congratulations to all who were selected and all who took part. We are all working to ensure that Vilnius Europe’s Happiest Capital in 2017!

We’re also proud to announce that more of you visited Vilnius than ever before!

Over the first six months of 2016, accommodations in Vilnius recorded 469,899 visitors – an increase of seven percent over 2015. The largest numbers of guests from abroad came from Belarus, Poland, Russia, Germany, and Latvia, and made up about 40 percent of all visitors. The United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, and France rounded out our top 10 list.

But don’t forget, we’re a city open to everyone, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you no matter where you’re from in the New Year!
