Although Covid-19 vaccines are also effective against the new type of Covid-19, progress in the fight against the pandemic is slow and going on international trips should be avoided, said Hans Klūge, the Director of the European Region of the World Health Organization (WHO).

The new types of the virus pose a threat, so at the moment international travel should be discouraged by seriously assessing the need. Currently, the so-called Indian variant is a problem, which is identified in 26 of the 53 countries of the WHO European region.
